Level 1 Thermography Certification is geared to new IR camera owners and practicing thermographers. It focuses on a wide variety of condition based monitoring & predictive maintenance applications including mechanical, electrical, building envelope, steam, flat roof moisture, refractory and piping.
Infrared Course Benefits
- Introduction to thermal imaging and measurement systems for predictive maintenance, building inspection, moisture identification, HVAC, and other applications.
- Some IR experience is a plus yet no prior experience in thermography is necessary for Level 1.
- Learn to collect quality data, and accurate temperature readings, and account for measurement effects such as distance, reflectivity, transmissivity, and emissivity using infrared cameras.
- Interpret IR images (called thermograms) make informed decisions using heat transfer concepts to analyze thermal images and see the latest in IR inspection report generation software.
- Avoid costly mistakes! Learn how to distinguish between hot spots and reflections, indirect vs. direct readings and qualitative vs. quantitative thermography practices in the real world.
- Challenge yourself and learn with field application labs which closely simulate real-world IR applications and prepare you to work confidently both independently and as part of a team.
Onsite Private Thermography Class Option
Monroe Infrared’s niche for 40 years is conducting Private Onsite Thermography training for our clients at their facilities. Advantages include lower cost, no work travel & lodging expenses, better opportunity for more to attend, targeted application demos plus OJT for staff in their environment.
