Description
FLIR T540 High Resolution Infrared Camera for Thermography Experts
The 464 × 348 (161,472 pixel) FLIR T540 thermal imaging camera is the perfect solution for research and science applications that require flexibility, precision, and ease of use. This uncooled thermal camera produces crisp, vibrant imagery that can be enhanced through UltraMax® technology for up to 645,888 pixel thermal resolution. Measure components down to 71 µm/pixel spot size with the optional Macro Mode or down to 34 µm/pixel with a 2x macro lens. Thanks to the award-winning ergonomic design and intuitive, rapid-response interface, the T540 can increase efficiency and help reduce test times. When coupled with Research Studio software, these cameras help researchers perform in-depth analysis and share data quickly.
Diagnose potential faults in industrial, electrical, and mechanical systems, or discover temperature anomalies in R&D testing with the 464 × 348 resolution FLIR T540. This portable, ergonomic thermal camera offers advanced features like 1-Touch Level/Span and continuous laser-assisted autofocus, making it the perfect non-contact diagnostic tool for condition monitoring and research applications.
The built-in Macro Mode allows R&D users to quickly switch from wide angle to close-up analysis without changing the lens. Or pair the T540 with a FLIR FlexView® dual field-of-view lens for the convenience to instantly switch from wide-area to telephoto scanning. When coupled with Research Studio software, the T540 helps engineers assess unexpected hot spots and find potential design flaws.
FLIR MSX adds visible light details to thermal images in real time for greater clarity, embedding edge and outline detail onto thermal readings. Unlike image fusing (merging of visible light and thermal image), MSC does not dilute the thermal image or decrease thermal transparency
Thermal imagers with MSX capabilities actually have two cameras—a thermal imager and a visible light camera (i.e. a typical digital camera). Every time you take a picture, both a thermal image and a visible image are captured simultaneously. Built-in software extracts key visible image elements—outlines, words, numbers, and other high-contrast edge details–and adds them to the thermal image. This helps give the image definition and makes it easier to tell what you’re looking at.
MSX is not a fusion of thermal and visible images—the software is designed only to capture useful visible details like lines and edges that are then superimposed directly onto the thermal picture. This gives images captured on lower-resolution cameras more defined details.
This is especially useful when looking at saved images later, or making a report. When you are on the scene, you can probably tell what it is you are currently looking at, but a thermal image without reference details may prove puzzling later. MSX eliminates the need to take additional visible light reference images, and can make it easier to demonstrate to clients what and where the problem is.
