$1,965.00 – $2,175.00The ITC sUAS Level 2 Thermography Certification course is for the Level 1 certified professionals seeking to broaden their knowledge of infrared by using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles to collect thermography data.
Must have completed Level 1 and provide copy of Level 1 Certificate.
This course focuses on strengthening and improving your image interpretation and analytical skills by providing instruction in application mission execution and methods of capturing and analyzing and analytical data and creating a deliverable that is critical to your client. Those who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a Level 2 sUAS Infrared Thermography Certification that is recognized by industry professionals.
Topics include: Learn the required elements of a written practice that is used to guide the training and certification needs of other sUAS thermographers in your program. Learn new applications and the method of performing sUAS applications for accurate data collection. Learn the benefits of using Mid-Wave Infrared Aerial imagery.
Attendees who complete all training course requirements and a thermography field assignment will receive a sUAS level 2 Infrared thermography certification that is recognized by industry professionals.
Tuition
The registration fee includes course instruction & course materials. The regular tuition is $2,300. Monroe Infrared offers a $335 discount (net $1,965) if you register for a class 31 days or more in advance of the class starting date and a $125 discount (net $2,175) if you register for a class 30 days or less in advance of the class start date.
Course Objectives
- Review Level I sUAS training concepts that will bring you up to date with the latest IR camera knowledge and imaging techniques used by thermography professionals
- Discuss the importance of resolution, optics, ground sampling distance (GSO), field of view and measurement field of view calculations and other import camera settings to consider when performing a Thermography Inspection from a UAV.
- Broaden your knowledge of heat transfer theory that will enhance your ability to analyze and better determine the severity of thermal anomalies across a variety of applications and conditions.
- Fine tune your temperature measurement skills by seeing what factors impact accuracy including advanced radiometry concepts of emissivity and reflectivity.
- Discover how professional thermographers approach and plan an inspection mission and what types of information are most important to include in an infrared report based on the application.
- See how to better define severity criteria when prioritizing thermal anomalies across a variety of applications.
- Learn the required elements of a written practice that is used to guide the training and certification needs of other sUAS thermographers in your program.
- Learn new applications and the method of performing sUAS applications for accurate data collection.
- Learn the benefits of using Mid-Wave Infrared Aerial imagery.
Required Course Materials:
• Laptop– Certification Examinations will be administered electronically. Tablets are also acceptable.
• IR Reporting Software- Please have software installed prior to class. Software can be used to assist with many of the camera lab exercises.
• Accessories-– Extra Batteries, charger cords, etc.

Certification:
Students who complete all training course requirements receive a Level II Infrared Thermography Certification.
Level II learning objectives, contact hours, and written exam are based on requirements outlined by ANSI/ASNT CP-105 and SNT-TC-1A of the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing.
ITC Certification is the gold standard qualification within the thermography industry and exceeds the requirements of international standards.
